It Was Hard You Know

Every sentence I uttered in seventh grade ended with you know... I think her ponytail is weird, you know? They are going out, you know. My dog is a doof, you know? I think I will watch TV, you know? After I noticed it I tried to stop it But it was hard, you know? It had turned into my most annoying habit, you know? So I decided to let it die a natural death, And you know what? It eventually stopped. A year or two later. It did not help that I ran with Two others who ended each Sentence with you know also. I now have a good friend who inserts ‘No offense’ in every sentence, so I always say I am not offended but she does not seem to Realize about this habit yet. I think that is probably the First step, you know?

Now you know it is, you know? Heh, I think you knew my cousin; he's never stopped saying it. If you don't know you're doing it; you can't stop it. Well done.

I was aware I was doing it, but there was a time - back in 1964 when every teen and preteen did this as some kind of weird cultural habit.
