It Was All Mine

It was all mine
A future filled with hopes and dreams
Him and I
All gone in a blink of an eye

I thought he was all mine
Truth I didn’t know
That he was hers too
His mind, his time, his rights reserved

How pathetic I look
How awful I feel
It was hard to believe
Replacing me would be so easy

Wasn’t I pretty enough - to be attractive
Wasn’t my color enough - to be gorgeous
Wasn’t I rich enough - to buy gifts
Wasn’t I good enough - to be yours

Isn’t it a crime
To destroy my life - over your good times
To play with my feelings
To betray all promises

My love was a joke for you
So you made me look like a clown
My life was played like a game
While you enjoyed your new love in time
