It Touches My Heart
Sad, I looked at heavens a while,
Saw stars making the blue sky smile,
Lonely, aloof stranded on isle,
Wondered what touched my heavy heart.
Morning news when fill me with strife,
Nature silences the chaos of life,
My emptiness gets filled up rife,
It’s clear what touched my saddened heart.
In this world of words, chaos, din,
Your words soothe my within,
My daughter says with her eyes green,
Her innocence touches my heart.
If I look back let me forgive,
Forward, let it be not to get but give,
But let me be here, in now, just to live.
And watch my presence touch my heart.
If I listen ere were to act,
And ponder before I react,
Ahead of mind, place intellect,
All these acts of head touch my heart.
