It reminds me of youth

I hear when laughter prick through a closed door,
Or see children enjoying in the rain
As if morrows there be, nor days before,
But only bliss prevailing over bane,
See, life goes on amidst all needless wars,
Rejoicing of life over grief of death
And going on like a galloping horse
That keeps alive in life unflinching faith,
I ponder thence upon my youthful dreams
As to with what stuff were they so well fed,
It takes me to my days of careless whims,
My soul overcoming prevailing dread,
Reminding me of time I once was young
When all my cares on a high wall were hung
