It Only Took a Smile

It only took a smile.
Not a fortress, nor an army.
Not a genius, nor a champion.
Not qualifications, nor reasons.
It only took a smile.
A hint of happiness and energy.
How had I forgotten the most obvious?
Life is nothing if you do not love.
Existence is meaningless if you do not laugh.
You will always fail if you do not smile.
