It Only Takes a Moment

It only takes a moment
For our lives to change forever,
Perhaps a turn for the worse
Or maybe a climb for the better.

It only takes a moment
To inspire someone to fly,
To teach them to believe
They can touch the sky.

It only takes a moment
To show someone you care,
To let them know
You’ll always be there.

It only takes a moment
To reach out a hand,
To touch someone’s heart
And give them courage to stand.

It only takes a moment
To turn a stranger into a friend,
To show them a warm smile
A message of peace you will send.

It only takes a moment
To thank God for each day,
For blessing us with treasures
That faithfully guide our way.

I wrote one years ago that is strikingly similar to this, though not quite as eloquent as yours. I do not have it typed, so next time I look through my writing book, I will put it on here. I know there is a section that says that I'll find I've made a friend by sharing one small smile.

We waste so much time worrying about little things that sometimes we forget to countour blessings. This poem holds much truth. Sometimes just a smile can change a life. God Bless. Vince
