It Never Ends

She walks Into the room Stops and Swallows People having Conversations She can’t Follow Now she’s Stumbling Walking on Broken Glass Her world’s Spinning in Slow motion Still moving too fast Out of breath She falls To the floor “Be Strong” They rush To help her She whispers “You’re wrong” Now he looks At her From across The room And everything’s Starting To happen Too soon They lift Her up Into the Ambulance The sirens The screaming She’s in A trance She wakes From the dream Of her past A nightmare He wraps his Arm around her And asks “Are you scared?” She looks At him With those Questioning eyes “How can you Pick the Truth from The lies?” He laughs And rolls over Soon falls Back to sleep Afraid of The dreams Of the memories She keeps She lies awake Her eyes open To darkness Surrounding her Finally they close The lack of sleep Too much To endure But once She’s awoken It happens Again And the events Once more Over and over Begin
