It Is So Long Since Alive

it is so long since alive

and falling into the
grasp of a stranger (less
                                       soul,
to yours and mine that is)
to rise, emboldened

and breathing ever
                          the first time
your scent on the memory
of oncenearenough...

and awakening from dream
     (my head your
      shoulder arms
      breath in my hair and
      love love love)
                                                  -less sleep
alone

and finding
a look to stop a heart
beating, breaking down these
hallways (of longing, and mercy)

existing in half-
(life is no life at all)
