Notes About The Poem

Snowfall warning: First storm of the season expected to bring 15-20 cm of snow to Ottawa | CTV News

It Is Snowing

Snow is gently creating pure white, pretty filigree snowflakes drift, they are twirling and dancing, trees trimmed so elegant, yet, the birds still sing, and life goes on, in my town, way up, north. But, in parts so nasty, like the up town, snowplows are clearing, all the streets and sidewalks, so people can still walk home, and workers can still drive their cars, yet, we all pause to view winter's snow. _______________________ December 9, 2020 Poetry/Nonet/It Is Snowing Copyright Protected, ID 12-1310-750-09 All Rights Reserved, 2020, Constance La France Written for the Standard contest, Double Nonet sponsor, William Kekaula, Judged 12/21/20 First Place
