It Is Snowing
Snow is gently creating pure white,
pretty filigree snowflakes drift,
they are twirling and dancing,
trees trimmed so elegant,
yet, the birds still sing,
and life goes on,
in my town,
way up,
north.
But,
in parts
so nasty,
like the up town,
snowplows are clearing,
all the streets and sidewalks,
so people can still walk home,
and workers can still drive their cars,
yet, we all pause to view winter's snow.
