The woman calls me to tell me something about Pat, a mutual neighbor. It’s not my business but…. She says this at least six times during the conversation She has many suggestions, and she thinks I should implement them. I roll my eyes, thinking this woman thinks I am her business too. Maybe the whole world is her business. It must be exhausting to think like that. What are you doing to do about it? She asks me. Nothing, I tell her. It’s not my business.
