IT IS NOT A DREAM AFTER ALL

You thought it was a dream
those mornings that didn’t feel heavy
nights that didn’t come with fear
and your heart no longer breaking.
You thought it was a lie.

But here you are
waking to peaceful mornings
the sun warming instead of threatening.
You laugh more, smile easier
and your body feels lighter.

It’s real now
the air tastes different
your soul remembers joy.
You are healing
and it is not a dream after all.
