It Is In Our Hearts

with apologies to W Shakespeare

If life is a play, the world but a stage,
And we merely actors, what is the goal?
If we write the script, each day a new page,
Should we not be playing the starring role?

If music truly be the food of love,
Seems to me we haven’t much of a choice.
Wait not for romance to fall from above
But stand up and sing out with all your voice!

If it’s the question, to be or be not,
What might you become if harder you strive?
Greatness is gained if it’s greatness that’s sought.
It’s never too late if one is alive.

It’s not in the stars we find destiny.
It is in our hearts that we find the key.
