It Is a Worrying State
It can be a good day
if you let things go their own way
and things might not be good
I must admit
sincerely that is the truth
for no heavens are aligned
from the stars above
on their own
I won't tell you
what it takes
because if I knew
you would too
We are on a roundabout
where a bit of knowledge
puts you a square above
in a world full of worry
A drip of honey in your
tea, a bit of good health
a run around the park feeling
fine, a stop at the pub to
share a colloquial good tiding
perhaps a square bit of knowledge
and then, bam
why the heck did we go to war
again, and for what.
a collective sigh
people are starving,
and you could be one
of them
because you are AND
at least you should
know that much
