Placed 2nd in Eve Roper's Nursery Rhyme Contest, August 27, 2024

     *****************************************************************

Today Lil wears a flowered dress, a big straw hat, and comfy shoes while watering Mom’s many blooms the big and small, the pinks and blues. Her golden dog and tabby cat relax and calmly watch their friend. What could be better for a girl than having flowers to attend? The front yard is a wonderland with things for little girls to do and loving pets that wait nearby. Life bears a happy, rosy hue. picture 4

Ahhh!! Lovely picture and such a nice poem to describe what you are feeling and seeing in that art. Reads like a good contender for a contest to me. Way to go. Thanks for sharing it with us. Sara K

Thanks so much, Tom. I fear it sounds nothing like the nursery rhyme-style poem the prompt asks for! Janice

Thanks so much, Tom. It's supposed to be like a nursery rhyme. I must say it's not like any nursery rhyme I've ever read! LOL! Janice
