It Happened On a Rainy Night

"Foggy mists engulfed the bright
When raindrops fell throughout the night
The lampposts glowed at midnights dark
When sweethearts kissed at Lover's Park"

When lightning streaked, she tightly embraced,
As she squeezed water from her hair's sweet grace,
She left me stunned, struck by Cupid's fiery arrow,
Pined for, we met in love's perfect marrow.

I love your rhymes, they are so creative and well articulated for the theme of this poem, and your words are fitting. I especially loved “ struck by cupids fiery arrow” lightning and how it created a passionate ambience so poetically youve depicted. Brilliant. Goodluck in the competition
