It does not hurt me
There is a back hole in my desk. It doesn’t interfere with my work. Once in a while it talks to me. It speaks up. It says a numerous amount of things, and the words bash against my head. By day a book is covering the hole. The hole doesn’t grow nor shrink, but its constant availability drives me insane. Everyday the hole is there, whether I acknowledge it or not. Friends have asked about the hole, I nod or shake my head. They don’t see what I see. When I try to drift of to bed, its haunting. It glows as a reminder.
I cannot escape,
Even asleep.
It follows me, universal.
It does not hurt.
Dark hole in the desk,
Tell me why you are here,
Next time I will fix this mess.
