It Could Have Been a Simple

it could have been a simple
roll of the dice
a perchance moment
as the fullness of the moon
reaped my heart in its' scythe
i could have been caught
in one of those lonely minutes
that invade life for no reason
perchance loses all meaning
when one comes to know
questions falter all reason and logic
answers were in the act
when your hand folded into mine
chances are never chances
when our lips met
the dice were loaded
a point in time
which never requires a why

Nice love poem. "As the fullness of the moon reaped my heart in its scythe," is a great line. Yep, the dice were loaded. lol
