It Comes At Night

At night.

	At night the wind howls.

At night the wind howls and it shakes the trees

At night the wind howls and it shakes the trees and the trees hit your
        window..

	At night the wolves howl.

At night the wolves howl and they scare the children

At night the wolves howl and they scare the children and the children cry..

At night the parents go to bed.

At night the parents go to bed and they can’t hear you

At night the parents go to bed and can’t hear you and you cry for their
        help..

And at night you can’t see!

At night you can’t see what’s right in front of you

At night you can’t see what’s right in front of you when you leave the safety
        of your bed..

	At night it comes.

At night it comes, and creeps through your door

At night it creeps through your door when you’re most vulnerable

At night it’s right there when you’re most vulnerable and hangs over you,
waiting for you to open your eyes..

        And in the morning.

In the morning when you wake up

In the morning when you wake up, it stares at you from the crack in your
        closet doors

In the morning when you get out of bed it sits there watching, waiting for
        you

In the morning it waits for you..to get closer.
