It Comes As No Surprise

what doesn't, what does exist
we're all just so... listless
our sins are many
our hearts are empty
can i even so much as discern what it means...?

nothing's ever crystal clear
everything's all confused
everyone's forcing you to disappear
and you're letting them do it to you

i remember a verse or two
jesus and mary magdalene
hearts woven in as one
but two
god, in the end
what's the point?
...no sense in asking you

nothing's ever crystal clear
everything's all confused
everyone's forcing you to disappear
and you're letting them do it to you

so just flit about
float around
cease at the first sign of apprehension
yeah we all knew
you didn't want anyone to know in the first place
