It Came and Went the Blizzard Dear
Original: It Came Upon the Midnight Clear
It came and went, the blizzard, dear.
The outlandish snow is deep.
Great wall of white buried the dodge,
right where the snowmen sleep.
Can’t find the shovel, dear, so snooze.
Under covers, our buried heads.
Our lips, that snore, are red and blue.
Can’t silence flakes in dreamy beds.
