It Begins With a Sneeze

It begins with a sneeze and you feel
The dust mites clogging your sinuses
Spores of memories you choke on
Take that broom right there the one with harsh bristles
Stretch and feel your shoulder as you push deep to the wicked middle beneath your bed.
Drag and push down pulling producing the tracks of grime.
Fleetingly you recall the “Velveteen Bunny” or Harriet Potter as you think dust bunnies and smile.
However in-between the tracks from the bristles you see a life. One that holds sorrow yet it’s home to so many dust mites. I think I must have given them a happy home.
And now I have ruined yet another life.
