Isolation

Screams lost in this dark, frigid room,
The air smells of death, basked in an aura of gloom,
Darkness my ally, embracing me in this uneven silence,
In this dark cell it appears, is penance for my defiance,

I remain a prisoner, prisoner to this haunting walls,
No sounds are heard , no emotions are felt,
My captors rejoice, for i am deserving of this hell,
I beg for freedom, each and every day,
Pleas fall on deaf ears, much to my dismay,

Secluded from the eyes of the world,
Reminiscing over obsolete memories,
The desire to live all but lost,
All but remains is cold desperation.
