Isolation
I have pushed myself too hard
I have gone indeed too far
Beyond the average within which I am.
Who then shall cheer when the bird sings
That lets stray its wings too far afield
That no soul near hears the melody
Or discerns the symphony
That otherwise would send amazing floods
Though these barren deserts of flesh and
blood?
