                     So i open’d one morn’n
                               The blindz
                                     Uv
                              My solarium
                           Facing the creek

                           there her’s were
                       washing the clothes
                              at the creek

                          think i thought
                                  "wife"

                              thus did i
                        slick back my hair
                             and rush'd
                         'cross the creek
                      and ask'd her father
                          for her hand in
                                  wed
                            the old man 
                               said no
                                    
                                     i             
                                 wuz
                               robbed 

                                i wuz
                               twelve
