Where does society draw the line, or has it stopped drawing lines?  Some things tolerated or blatantly glorified now were cause for summary execution without appeal in the past.  As we become more jaded, we accept more viloence, more vulgarity, more evil behavior all under the positive-sounding principle of tolerance.  I once made a play on words that "The world is going to shit 'ecrementially", and it's true.  Anyone trying to stand up for a higher ideal or that says that God would object to whatever gets demonized and turned into a pariah.
