Is There a Reason
When we think of the people in our lives
Some stay around, others go suddenly
Was it a wake up call or to let us down?
Sometimes there is no rhyme or reason
So we let it go and leave it all behind
Then by some unexpected reason
At a certain time in the season
Some show up in our lives again,
We wonder, why us, why now,
Are we ready for another let down?
Perhaps this is when we need to let go
The disappointment we have been bestowed
But embrace them with warmth and sincerity
To let them know, we missed them terribly
