Is It Too Late

Is it too late? The days have slipped by so fast, missed the carols, missed the tree lighting, missed Santa's arrival, missed most of the Christmas shows with (catch up in July); and there it is the grand awaited day, hovering in the universe, on the very edge of time, holding out, ready to start again; patient but only for this moment, waiting on rememberance years and Christmas days passed, to be recognized for all it is; awaiting celebration after all the gifts are exchanged, after all the presents are unwrapped, after the great feast is eaten, after each of us succumbs to the festivities; waiting just a little bit longer, loving, ever patient to be celebrated as it was, to be remembered for its simplicity, to focus on a child's birth, to be ready for the world to awaken and end its wait for a savior, redeemer of heart and soul for a child born of innocence, for love and hope for the future. Is it too late? haven't missed, have I, if it comes round again, will it be waiting still waiting for me?
