Is It Simple

Rain
Falls

Wind
Blows

Is it simple?
No

Rain falls,
Like leaves
New to autumn
Falling to the ground

Wind blows,
Carrying tunes
In the air,
Cheering

Rain
Beauty and hate
Beauty:
Grass
Flowers
Us
New world
Hate:
Floods
Storms
Damage

Wind
Beauty and hate
Beauty:
Blowing tunes for all to hear
Cheering those who need it
Giving a feeling of triumph or glory
A sense of love
Hate:
Selfish humans
Storms
Damage

Now wind and rain
Are all but similar
But are they simple?
No

There’s more to life
Than what we may
Suspect

We need to learn
To look deeper
To see the beauty
To see the hate

And when you grasp that
Do what you want with it

Some will choose to
dwell on hate

some will choose to
dwell on beauty

some will discard
this poem
and say there is no meaning

but beware of this,
and this I know

life will come
and life will go

sometimes we need to
shine the light on
the world

this Earth is
not as bad as you
might think

if you choose
the beauty,
you are beautiful
if you choose
the hate
think about that
you are hated

if you don’t like
this test I’ve given
change your life

for you are
the only one who can

Which do you
Choose?
