Is It Really Worth It

I sit down and wonder, 'What did I get myself into?'
I love him but is love ever enough?
I hurt, I cry, I hurt again....
Day after day,
Is it really worth it?

But I remember the first day like it was yesterday
Undeniable chemistry, passion and energy
I didn't know I lacked anything until I met you
Suddenly, my world lit up and I knew I wanted you
But was it haste, lust or both?

All was well until the first fight, the second, the third....
The roller coaster of emotions driving us apart day by day
We can get through this, I thought
Our love sinking deeper into darkness
I'm overwhelmed, I'm weak
Is it you? Is it me? Is it us?

A part of me wants to be free
A part of me believes in you
A part of me wants to do better, to be better
I have a decision to make
Is it really worth it?

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
