Iryna
I awake from my slumber like every other day, although strangely different than before.
I gaze out my window to see the sky in a hazy gray, I ask myself why the sun not shines today?
I cross the threshold of my door and am greeted by a cold wind; it hits my face long and hard, I ask myself where has the summer breeze gone?
As I look upon the tree's, barren of all their leaves I hear no song, I ask myself where have all the birds gone?
There, in the garden once filled with sweet smells and full of life where butterflies and bumble bees danced on rose petal prongs, I ask myself where have all the flowers gone?
I awake from a beautiful dream and gaze outwards from the window of my heart; the sky is blue, and the sun will forever shine for you.
I cross the threshold of the door of my heart; there the summer breeze will forever blow for you.
Once again, the garden abounds of sweet smells and is full of life, it is here in my heart that the flowers will forever bloom for you and the birds sing a song of eternal life.
Here is where you shall forever be.
Iryna, may you paint the skies as God himself would, always a masterpiece.
