Irony's Funeral
Bitter irony
Is biting me
Robbing me
Leaving me
Hollow
Like an aging
Willow tree
Whose beauty
Has faded
Never retrieving
The vitality that
It once knew
But, from a distance
You can still catch a
Glimpse of the remnants
Of it's former sparkle
That will always remain
