Irony
That moment the silence of separation feels louder than any noise of living
When a love's breadth gets revealed in the shadows of a heart breaking.
And an understanding of happiness comes forth in the context of sadness
Then finding strength hiding in moments that masquerade as weakness
The bonds challenged find themselves fortified by the testing blows
As friends become lovers become friends become citadels one for the other
And something rare that defies an ordinary understanding is birthed
Nurtured with words and time and connection and respect and humor
