Irony

Neck and neck, Could taste something new, And was rejected. Because I was good, Too good at something else. She was a nobody, Reaching for something she never had, Respect. I got nothing, Even though I gave everything I had. My body, My heart, My being entirely. I thought I deserved it, Everyone thought I did, But I guess not. I deserve to be nothing more than a pawn, Commanded by the major.
