Ironical Affair

Ironical Affair It is just little before 1661, I was the finance minister of Louis , the fourteenth who loved wine and pretty woman in lavish party I supplied him all including the much needed money as he was leading an extravagant lifestyle , I was indispensible to him as he was to me ,sometimes I outshined him by merit , he was very pleased with my charm and wit, I was very happy ,too , as I was supposed to be made the prime minister after the death of Jules Mazarin but the post was abolished and I was not surprised at all as I knew it was the price he paid me for my brilliant service and I comprehended that I was falling out of his favour so I needed a smart thing to win back him , I was too stupid to arrange a party, With wine , woman , poetry and cuisine from the orient which he had never tested before , after the seven-course dinner I showed him a promenade through the chateau’s gardens, I accompanied him to the shrubbery and flower beds , at the gardens’ canals he witnessed a fireworks display followed by the performance of Moliere’s play but in the morning next day I was banished from the court on the charges of outsmarting the king .
