Irish Triplets

My Irish triplets
                                             busy as bee's
                                            two on my lap
                                               one stood
                                             by my knees
                                              Patty cake 
                                              Patty cake
                                            Umpteenth time
                                              My poetry?
                                               A Nursey 
                                                Rhyme!
                                            Diapers, bottles
                                          Burps and toddles
                                          My poets pen was
                                               Set aside
                                           For truly then?
                                        My hands were tied
