Invoke His Holy Name
The Lord, our God, is soothing comfort
in moments of shivering darkness;
the Lord, our God, is the Father of true salvation
when temptation surrenders to sin!
Invoke His holy name when in unbearable pain;
He knows the heaviness of distraught
through your days of hopelessness!
Invoke His holy name when all seems in vain,
He'll send a cheerful angel to make you smile;
He will never leave you in dire desperation:
have the courage of the saints while being alive!
The Lord, our God, has tested your integrity
time and time again, He has made you wise and strong
to withstand anything that knocks you down;
the Lord, our God, will keep you from the harmful enemy...
pray fervently and unhappy days will vanish along
with doubts bringing pure joy: you'll be whole again!
Invoke His holy name,
put unbelievers to shame;
each road is covered with many thorns,
but you'll not bleed as others do...
whenever you'll go: there'll be angels
so mindful and so true!
