Invitation for Halloween Night
Received an invite for Halloween night
sent by Z, a ghost, incredibly white
assuring recipients a great big fright
by zombies, entangled in a real plight
Did sender think I was not quite bright?
words on card I could now totally recite
gremlins, goblins, ghouls will have a fight
vampires will add ambiance with all their might
I re-read the invite, under the moonlight
sent by an eager spook who knows how to write
witches will fly in with cats on a broom or a kite
Halloween night suddenly feels just right!
