Yes we mark time, we sing into the dark. We open heart and soul to bleed for others. To bleed for ourselves and what we as poets are inspired to say to the world. Is it enough? That is the question. One that each poet must ask when making sacrifices to our chosen Art. Invisible world must hear and see our passing- 'tis it not so? A fav- a beauty. God bless...

Thank you Lindley. This poem I wrote specifically for people off page out of the Consomme, and they will understand who they are and why it was written. If another poet in the esteemed pages of Poetry Soup, receives an understanding from it, or some form of reassurance, or inspiration, then that is a good thing. I note Constance has initiated a contest about masks, which will make for interesting readling and an understanding of other poets in the joint. Everyone wears a mask, some many, and it is part of the human psyche, when we listen to our inner voice, to keep something unshared with the rest of the world, for ourselves. I take away with me what you have imprinted above. Thank you.
