Invisible Darts

Sticks and stones
Break my bones
But words could never hurt me
I repeated the rhyme again and again
Aghast to no end
You broke me again
The pain is real
The words cut deep
The tears stained my cheek
Teachers try but you're that pesky fly
That never gets spotted
You know my pain
You find your gain
Take it away
I say
You just begin again
To shoot me with invisible darts
no more I say you just killed my heart

Thanks for the welcome. I'm a high school student who loves poetry. I don't do much besides work and school so poetry has really become an outlet for me in more ways than one. I'll try and post more of my poems for your enjoyment. Sarah.
