I am reposting this now, with the radio abuzz with stories of women being sexually assaulted
by taxi drivers. However much I use humour to deal with the darker side of life I do not want the darker implications of this poem to be missed. When I was wheelchair bound I was dependent on cabs and it was cab drivers hitting on me that prompted the writing of this piece. It disgusted me at the time, and now, with the acquittal of a driver in Halifax found by police with a half dressed passed out woman in his cab. Of course there are descent drivers out there, but so are the predators.
