Introspection

Step aside and view thy self. Broken man, hunched by pain, not standing tall, just not the same. Bow your back, now walk upright, press on forward, join the fight. Find peace within, through pouring rain, your efforts now won't be in vain. Seek relief from darkened mind, blue skies ahead, you just might find. For only I do hold the key, returning happy back to me.

I'm terribly sorry for your loss Mark. I understand you, my mother suffered cancer years ago, but she could get rid of it after many months of fighting. Your poem reflects a positive attitude I really like. :-))

Glad you liked it Ariana. It speaks to overcoming difficult times in life. I lost my wife to cancer, and it was devastating!
