Intro To Goodbye
He’s a man with attitude that lived within his song
provoked an insatiable howlin’
whenever sensually his body moved along,
his world once shackled to Rock ‘n’ Roll
now just a shuffle of shakin’ bones,
this the last time he’ll string his guitar
a faithful friend who followed him here near and far.
Soon his final hour to holler a rhythmic tune
to thousands that bought a ticket
he knows he’s battling a sticky wicket,
yet with time to reminisce,
admits to a sordid life of sin
forgot what God had given to him,
when over here he claims
they were on different sides.
His home though is a callin’
across many sunsets so many tides
as for the last time his finger slides he cries
‘Oh, Babe I could spend a life time with you
But only you know what that would do!’
