Intrepid Darkness

God inspired me to walk through fire And made me feel I could go ever higher Just a small lad with big dreams In a world cracking at the seams If I floated on cotton ball clouds I wonder if He would be proud Of everything I've accomplished and done As I peer out at the golden setting sun Maybe I'm lucky because I know how it ends And I peer out at every angel God sends But there is a smile upon my face I'm at the finish line of life's race Life is truly a grandiose thriller But also a subtle killer Ever intrepid I face the darkness but not alone God guides my eyes as proof for my sins I did atone
