Intoxication
The expression upon my face, an open book, a blatant stare
read easily even without a second glance
The notion to conceal it, an error in need of revisal
oh no! the tools to fix it, fallen and scattered onto the marble tile
disorganized, clumsy; a flaw of nervousness
An unsolved case, a close knit unsolved case this is not
this is only something I'm unable to wrestle with
I'll find I would be the one pinned to the mat
down for the three count, possibly ten and seeing stars
The difficulty to listen,75%
I'm only coherent to finding a way for my skin to dissolve
the likeness of a snake's
A quote from a favorite movie, a lyric from an addicting song
it pierces through the wall of seriousness I have built
'Why do I have this growing need to be beside her'
Her presence, clouding my thoughts like the toxic clouds of rain
promises good luck
the very definition of intoxication
My heart has been invaded or was it by welcome invitation
The battle I claim to have lost like I claim to be a wounded soldier
never occurred, never started
the same reader could tell once the book ended
Oh, betrayed by my starving, wandering eyes once again
