Into the Darkness

Into the darkness,
The heart craves,
The peace and warmth,
Into which it caves.

Coldness,
Feeling of  despair,
The heart hungers,
Someone to care.

Starving,
For affection,
The heart forgets,
Its' protection.

Into the darkness,
The last beat taken,
The heart breaks,
Its' love forsaken.
