Into Something Good
I woke most Sunday mornings to my dad playing his music full blast downstairs .
This is my version of one of the songs , Penned in tribute to our welcoming committee .
I woke up this morning feeling fine
I knew that I must send the girls a valentine
For welcoming me to the neighbourhood
Now the soupers are in my blood
Something tells me I'm into something good .
Something tells me I'm into something.
I arrived at soup feeling quiet and shy
but they welcomed me as their kinda guy
For no other reason than they felt they should
and that welcome was oh so good
Something tells me I'm into something good
Something tells me I'm into something.
Only here for a moment or two
That lovely greeting came out of the blue
and I couldn't help falling in love
They are the girls I've been dreaming of
The lovely girls I've been dreaming of .
They held my hand and guided me
Into the soup society
I asked if I could write and they told me I could
Those sweet soupers are in my blood
Something tells me I'm into something good
Something tells me I'm into something
Something tells me I'm into something ''yeah''
So I'm sending them this valentine
They've won a place in this heart of mine
They were there for me and they understood
That welcome was oh so good
Something tells me I'm into something good .
