Into Me

If you want to see into my soul,
Then don't look in my eyes,
First look thru my frames of gold,
Before you get inside..
So the image of yourself to be,
That hangs in tinted glass,
Is looking back so you can free,
The innocence that last's...
And when you take a second look,
You'll get beyond the glare,
Amazed what little time it took,
To understand what's there...
Is you behind the window,
Of a gaze that's looking back,
Peering deep into a soul,
That's fading into black...
And when you finally realize,
That it's you behind the frame,
You can stop looking into my eyes,
As we look through the same...
