Intimidated By Myself

Poetic genius 
Word prowess
Magnificent missive
Practice applause
Before the ending, I start thinking these things
Saturating them with hope and optimism

You can never top that one!
Best one you have ever created.
Your imagination is on fire.
Throw down the mike and set fire the piano!
The mirror laughs at my confidence.

Exciting and enticing.
Intelligent beyond limits.
You have surpassed yourself.
Your poetry is unprecedented.
My face hurts from grinning.

I take a little nap.
Too overwhelmed to write now.
Too intimidated to start.
The blank page laughs at me.
Third day in a row…

The difficulty is trying to repeat it because, as you put it, "too intimidated to start". Trump claims not to like wine and says he's a teetotaler, yet claims American wines are better than French wines? The lead in the Democrats' pants gets heavier by the day! / M Caren Krutsinger July 28, 2019 at 6:59 AM I feel sorry for the Democrats; they seem to be struggling for someone who could actually take the helm. They have WAY too many contenders if you ask me. I am so glad I am an Independent, so I do not have to worry about the primaries.
