Intimacy Issues

Intimacy with everyone is impossible
And yet, sometimes it starts with a glance
It's one of the privileges of life
A life without it has not been lived
When you smell a person's scent
And conjure their presence fondly
You've known one truly

Have had only a few intimacies
Both male and female
Older and younger ones too
Many friends but few loves
Like love, intimacy has many facets
Too many gates to go through

Romance is only one
When I touch her hair
As if it's my own
Fingertips find her softness
And never rest on flaws
Our eyes meet, whispers touch
Thoughts intertwine, dreams are shared
Spirits mirrored, feelings are conveyed
Mostly without a sound

Always most important to each other
Often more than self I say
Even when miles away
It can't be any other way
Intimacy: True oneness with another

LJ, you needn't feel pressure to comment. Brian has held so many contests, who can keep up? Thanks though, for the thought and kindness. Best to you too.
