Interview with a Grain of Sand

Grain of sand, Why have you come home with me? Why have you left the others? Don’t you feel alone? Oh, I’m fine wherever I find myself. Grain of sand, How do you find a place for yourself amidst thousands of others? Don’t you feel lost? Oh, we create room for one another, Altruism is our watchword. No one hoards what others need. Grain of sand, How did you feel when you’re blown by the wind, separated from your family? Although, family comes first, happiness is not only rooted in family ties, Home is what you make of that space around you. Grain of sand, What’s your view of humans? Oh, my view, I’d say humans seem not to think about the end of the road, They’re often lost in today and inconsiderate of tomorrow, They don’t ponder on eternity. Grain of sand, What’s your word of advice? Oh, I’d say there’s truth in nature, In its silence, it speaks, It embraces the lost, It brings calmness to the overburdened souls, It connects us to the Divine. April 9, 2024.

Thompson, this is greatly talented and innovative! There is plenty of depth in every verse, leaving much to consider. Impressive, dialogue with a tiny particle of sand.

Outstanding conversation with a grain of sand....quite creative and ingenious! Much depth in each verse and much to ponder. I especially liked the last verse...it resonated with me. Have a splendid evening, Sara
